2026 Leaders Against Litter GAC Kick-off at South Gandy Beach

Keep Pinellas Beautiful is excited to announce the 2026 Great American Cleanup (GAC) taking place from March 1st – June 30th. This Keep America Beautiful signature event engages thousands of volunteers, removing litter and beautifying locations throughout Pinellas County.

Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful for a cleanup at South Gandy Beach on Monday, March 2nd to kick-off the GAC! Together we will SPEAK UP, PICK UP, and STAND UP for a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Pinellas County.

Volunteers under the age of 18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian.

WHEN: Friday, March 2nd at 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in.

WHERE TO MEET: Please meet on the south side of Gandy Beach east of The Getaway Restaurant (View in Google Maps). Look for the KPB table and tent! See map below.

WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend a hat or sunglasses.

WHAT TO EXPECT: All cleanup supplies are provided including pickers, reusable gloves, trash bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray. A water refill station will be available. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
