About this Event
Come ride with us as we explore nature and history on SVBC's 2026 King Tide Ride to Alviso. The King Tides are the highest tides of the year! Did you know that one of the country's largest estuary restoration projects has taken shape in our own backyards, in historic Alviso?
We'll meet at the Diridon Station entrance on Cahill Street in San Jose and enjoy a casual, family-friendly ride up the Guadalupe Trail. Don't be surprised when you see several majestic Great Egrets in addition to the natural beauty of the Guadalupe River and the San Francisco Baylands.
All rides are no-drop, with ride support always alongside the newest riders.
Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition staff will provide bike safety checks and helmet fitting instructions.
Please bring:
- A working bicycle
- Helmet
- Layers of clothing appropriate for the weather
- Water & snacks
- Flat repair if you have it
