2026 HudsonAlpha LifeScience Links (Wiregrass)

LifeScience Links is a professional learning experience that provides seventh-grade life science teachers updated content knowledge, engaging strategies, and authentic lab experiences. Held on the campus of HudsonAlpha, a leading genomics research institute, educators leave the workshop equipped to link Course of Study Standards to real-world biotech applications and careers.

LifeScience Links will be held June 16-18, 2025, at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology.*

Eligible educators will spend three full-days at HudsonAlpha, focusing on connecting content to biotech careers and learning from leading researchers, scientists and educators.

• Open to educators who teach seventh-grade life science.
• Lodging is provided for participants who live more than 40 miles from the workshop location.
• Educators who complete the training will receive classroom kits, materials, and resources, valued at over $900.
• Provided with 40 hours of PowerSchool PD credit, or requested certificate, upon conclusion of the program.
• Out-of-state and private school tuition cost also includes onsite breakfasts and lunches each day.

• 2025 tuition cost: $800*

*Alabama public middle school teachers have subsidized tuition, housing, materials and mileage reimbursement (for those over 40 miles) provided by the Alabama State Department of Education and the Alabama Legislature.

Tuition cost will be due by credit card or Purchase Order upon time of registration. Please select the appropriate ticket type for your preferred payment.

All remaining balances will be due by June 1, 2026. If we don't receive full payment by the deadline, your seat will be released to another interested educator.

Refund Policy:

• Full refund (minus any processing fees) - up to thirty (30) days prior to program start date
• Half refund - up to fourteen (14) days prior to program start date
• No refund – less than fourteen (14) days prior to program start date

Prior to registering, please review our Lab Safety Contract, Waiver and Release/Emergency Contact, and Media Release. These are required to participate and will be included on the registration for signature.
