About this Event

Join us for a fun-filled day at the TWA Museum in downtown Kansas City, where children between the ages of 8 -16 can explore the exciting world of aviation. This in-person event will feature hands-on activities, interactive displays, and even tours of the Air Traffic Control tower!

Created to help foster the love in aviation in young students, Girls in Aviation Day is the perfect event to explore the many possibilites that aviation and STEM have to offer. Celebrate, empower, and inspire the future of aviation through the 10th Anniversary of Girls in Aviation Day.

TICKETS ARE LIMITED

This event will take place on an active airport. A minimum of 1 chaperone is required for up to 2 children. If your group is larger than that, please sign up with a second adult chaperone. When purchasing tickets, please purchase for number of children attending. For example, if you and one child will attend, please only purchase 1 ticket. There is a max of 150 tickets available.

The tours of the Air Traffic Control tower will be taking place during active airport hours. For this reason, the tours will need to be on a scheduled basis and a maximum of 6 children will be accompanied by a volunteer; the tour will take between 25-30 minutes roundtrip; parents can wait at the TWA museum during this time. Sign ups required on site. To participate in the control tower tour, additional information might be required if not a United States citizen. Please note - if the airport is closed due to construction, this event will still take place, but tours will not be able to be offered that day.

You may arrive anytime between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. The event will wrap up at 2 pm.
