2026 Jabberwock Cotillion Ball
Cultivated in Crimson: The Ascendance of a Queen
The Jabberwock Cotillion is a distinguished formal presentation that celebrates tradition, cultural legacy, and the development of young women into confident leaders. This elegant evening honors African American debutantes as they are formally presented in a refined setting that reflects grace, dignity, and excellence.
Held at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center on the campus of the University of Maryland, the cotillion brings together families, community leaders, and supporters for a meaningful celebration of poise, accomplishment, and heritage. Guests will experience a beautifully curated program highlighting the values of leadership, service, and scholarship that define the cotillion tradition.
The Jabberwock Cotillion is more than a formal event—it is a celebration of growth, community pride, and a legacy passed from one generation to the next.
Black Tie Formal attire is required.
Proceeds will benefit scholarship and community development programs.
