He has recorded twelve albums and received five Blues Music Awards for Soul Blues Male Artist, Soul Blues Album, Traditional Blues Album of the Year, and Instrumentalist - Vocals and Harmonica. John has also been nominated four consecutive times for the prestigious BMA’s B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award and numerous Blues Blast music awards.
Having backed Junior Watson, Anson Funderburgh, and Elvin Bishop, John’s musical style is a blend of Blues and Soul that few can match.
