The entrepreneurship and innovation eXchange (eiX), an initiative of SC NEXUS led by the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA), includes the eiX Venture Studio, delivered by NextGEN and powered by FedTech.
About the Program
The eiX Venture Studio is a 16-week startup studio that pairs teams of entrepreneurs with advanced energy technology from universities and federal laboratories, along with the resources, methodology, and institutional backing to build companies around it.
This information session is for candidates who want to learn more about the program before applying. It is an opportunity to hear directly from the team behind eiX, ask questions about the technologies, the application process, and what participation involves, and make a more informed decision before committing to an application.
What this session will cover:
- How the program works and what participants can expect across each phase
- The technology focus areas for the 2026 cohort
- What the application process involves and what we look for in candidates
- Time for open questions
Who should attend: This session is open to anyone seriously evaluating whether eiX is the right fit for their background and career direction. Candidates typically come from engineering, research, or operational roles in energy, technology, or related fields. No specific credentials are required.
Program Details
- Free to participate. No equity taken.
- Successful teams will compete for their share of a $50,000 prize pool awarded at program completion
- Runs August through November 2026
- 2-3 required in-person convenings in Greenville, South Carolina. All other program activity is remote.
