2026 Dothan Middle School GPS
About this Event
For this fifth round of Middle School GPS Workshops, DNA Expressway, educators will engage with genetics content focused on the 2023 Alabama 7th-grade Life Science Course of Study. Aimed at bringing science content to life, these activities support teaching foundational genetics concepts. Teachers will leave with seven hours of professional learning credit and various resources to take back to their classrooms.
MS GPS: DNA Expressway will be held on September 15th in Dothan.
**To be eligible for the GPS Workshop, registrants must currently teach full-time in an Alabama public school and teach one ore more sections of 7th Grade Life Science. Registrants who do not meet this requirement will be removed from the roster and notified by email.**
For Alabama public middle school teachers, schools will be reimbursed for substitute costs of up to $85. To expedite reimbursements, we are asking for your POC at your school for us to contact to process your substitute reimbursement.
Please register by September 3, 2026. When you register, please keep in mind that you are registering for the Middle School GPS Workshop in its entirety. Failure to complete all required sections of the workshop will result in forfeiture of kits, substitute reimbursement and PowerSchool credit.
Before registering, please review our Waiver and Release/Emergency Contact and Media Release Forms. These are required to participate and will be included on the registration for signature.
