Back by popular demand, The Georgia 5: 80's Dance Party return for their fifth appearance at the Chester Summer Concert Series, staged at the amazing Jarvis Boone Amphitheater! You’ll hear all the biggest “feel good” hits from the first decade of MTV, performed live & in person by the area’s original & longest-running 80’s party band! Often imitated but never duplicated, the Georgia 5 are now in their 33rd year of providing entertainment in the Tri-State area.

Walton Engine and Hose will be serving food, Rushing Duck Brewing and Long Lot Farm Brewery will have beer, wine, and cider. Barb's Fruit Fashions will have dessert!
Bring your chairs and blankets.
Reminder: No outside coolers. The breweries donate back to the music series to help us pay for bands and other needs.
Big hair. Capezio shoes and Members Only jackets. Leg warmers, parachute
pants and skinny ties. Nothing defined a decade more than the fashion of
the 1980’s, but when a new cable channel called MTV quietly went on the air
in August of 1981, everything changed. Not only could you hear your
favorite music, in stereo, now you could see it, too. Video killed the radio
star, and the rest is history.
A decade later, a group of close high school friends formed the Georgia 5:
80’s Dance Party and began to hone their 80’s show. They played all the
hits they grew up with, by the artists who made up the soundtrack to their
adolescence; The Cars, Loverboy, J. Geils Band, The Police, Van Halen,
Billy Idol, The Romantics, Duran Duran, The Stray Cats, Human
League and The Knack. Fast forward to today and these songs still make
people feel good.
The Georgia 5: 80’s Dance Party takes you on a musical journey back to
the best of times. It’s as though you’re at the hippest backyard party in the
neighborhood with a giant boom box playing your favorite mix tape. Gnarly!
