Join Charlotte Chinese Story Time for the 2026 CCST Mid-Autumn Festival Cultural Fair!
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most meaningful traditional Chinese festivals, celebrating family reunion, gratitude, sharing, and the beauty of the full moon. This family-friendly cultural fair will bring children and families together through stories, hands-on crafts, cultural games, performances, and meaningful community experiences.
Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Time: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Marion Diehl Recreation Center
Venue: Full Gym + Multipurpose Room

Event Theme: Moonlight, Family, and Togetherness
Families and children will enjoy a wide variety of Mid-Autumn themed cultural activities, including:
Shadow Puppet Show: Chang’e Flying to the Moon (11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM)
Snow Skin Mooncake Making
Jade Rabbit Lantern Craft
Moon Lamp Making

Mid-Autumn Festival Photo Wall
Through these activities, children will have the opportunity to learn through play, create their own festival crafts, enjoy traditional stories, participate in cultural games, and explore the meaning of family, home, memory, and reunion.
This event is designed for children and families of all backgrounds, especially families interested in Chinese language, Chinese culture, Asian American heritage, bilingual learning, and community celebration. Families from all cultural backgrounds are warmly welcome.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
RSVP is not required, but preferred. RSVP helps us better prepare materials and plan activity flow.
