Come discuss the most pressing issues in the compost industry - from CalRecycle updates on SB1383, to compost market development opportunities, strategies for contamination reduction, and stories of large scale institutions successfully implementing organics recovery programs. Plus - the opportunity start the day with a of tour the Republic Otay Sustainability Park in Chula Vista, and demonstrations from of composting equipment.
CA Compost Workshop & Demo Day
For our fourth annual workshop, we'll meet at the Sinclair on G Street at 8 am and take a bus to Otay Sustainability Park in Chula Vista, a large scale composting facility equipped with solar powered aerated static piles and a Thor depackager for managing commercial contracts. At 11:30 am, we will return to the Sinclair for an afternoon of presentations on contamination reduction, compost market development, and institutional organics recovery. At 5 pm, we'll head over to a happy hour to continue networking. Lunch and coffee is included with every ticket. There are limited spots for the tour and demo day, so sign up soon!
