2026 BLK INK Book Festival & BLK INK Short Film Premiere - New Orleans

Join us for the Fourth Annual BLK INK Book Festival - New Orleans and Inaugural BLK INK Short Film Premiere on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11 AM - 3 PM at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters located in New Orleans’ City Park Botanical Gardens.

The BLK INK Book Festival is a four-hour book expo featuring 75+ diverse authors in every genre, music, storytelling in the garden, and local author VIP exhibits. The event is free to the public, but pre-registration is requested. Guests who pre-register via Eventbrite will automatically be signed up for our custom gift box drawing. The BLK INK Short Film Premiere (BISFP) aims to showcase short films by emerging Black filmmakers from across the country, with a particular interest in films by artists from Louisiana and the Gulf Coast Region. Five films will be screened at the BLK INK Short Film Premiere, followed by a panel discussion led by Gian Smith, Award-Winning Filmmaker and Founder of The Black Film Festival of New Orleans. The film premieres will take place from 1 - 3 PM at the Lath House, within walking distance of the Pavilion of the Two Sisters.
