About Bergen:
In 2026 alone, we have helped more than 3,000 dogs and cats through our monthly four-day clinics, pop-up clinics, and partnerships with local veterinary practices that provide low- to no-cost spay/neuter services. These services also include vaccinations and microchipping at no additional cost. We are also expanding our reach through partnerships with organizations on Colorado’s Western Slope, where the need is tremendous. To better serve these communities, our beloved Wendall, our 26-foot surgical mobile unit, is now permanently based near the Grand Junction area, allowing us to provide care from Grand Junction to Montrose and surrounding communities.
While our work may not always seem as visible as the adorable dogs and cats featured by shelters and rescue organizations, it is essential. By providing affordable preventive care and spay/neuter services, we help keep pets in loving homes, reduce overcrowding in shelters and rescues, and improve the overall health and well-being of animals throughout our region.
