2026 Athens MLK Jr. Day Parade & Music Festival

Weather Preparation: Dress warmly and prepare for cold weather.

Event Check-In:

Location: Outside Morton Theatre, 195 W. Washington St., Athens, GA 30601.

For Vendors:

• Check-In: Begins at 12:00 PM outside Morton Theatre (enter via Lumpkin & Washington Streets near the Washington Street Parking Lot).
• Setup Deadline: Must be completed by 2:00 PM.
• Event Start: 2:00 PM (open to the public).
• Food Vendors:Follow Athens-Clarke County (ACC) guidelines for compostable or recyclable greenware (plates, cups, flatware with food residue must be compostable).

  • Parking: After setup, all vehicles must be moved. Vendors are responsible for parking (public garages are available, fees may apply).

For Parade Participants:

Parade Zone Entrance: Hancock Ave & Lumpkin Street (vehicles/floats only). No parking allowed in the parade zone.

Check-In & Line-Up: Begins at 2:00 PM.

Parade Start: 3:00 PM at Hull Street & Hancock Avenue.

Performance Guidelines:

Dance groups: 2 minutes max for mainstage performances. Submit music to DJ Blue at by January 10th. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Signage: Encourage positive messages aligned with the theme. Groups of five or more required.

• Free inflatable rides.
