Join ASLA Colorado/Wyoming for an expanded, two-day celebration honoring the people, projects, and ideas shaping the future of landscape architecture across our region.
Inspired by this year's theme, Western Horizons: Honoring Legacy. Advancing Design. Shaping the Landscape, the 2026 Annual Awards Celebration brings together practitioners, students, industry partners, and friends of the profession for two days of inspiration, connection, and celebration. From an exclusive behind-the-scenes project tour at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance to an elevated awards gala, a post-awards sketch crawl, and a special Fellows Breakfast honoring the ASLA Class of 2026, this year's programming celebrates both the enduring legacy of our profession and the bold ideas defining its future.
The centerpiece of the celebration is our Annual Awards Celebration dinner at the Denver Zoo, featuring keynote guests Kevin Williams and Michael Guidi, authors of Shrouded in Light: Naturalistic Planting Inspired by Wild Shrublands. Throughout the evening, we'll recognize outstanding achievements in landscape architecture while enjoying an evening of great food, meaningful connections, and memorable experiences in one of Denver's most unique settings.
Whether you're reconnecting with colleagues, celebrating award winners, exploring innovative design, or looking ahead to the future of the profession, we invite you to join us as we honor our shared legacy and shape the landscape together.
The Annual Awards Celebration is Thursday, October 15th @ 6 p.m.

2026 ASLA Annual Celebration & Education Session Schedule :
- Thursday, 10/15 – Project Tour: Denver Zoo - Behind the scenes: A landscape architects perspective | 4:30–6:00 p.m. (Must be registered for the ASLA Awards Celebration to register)
- Thursday, 10/15 – Awards Celebration: Denver Zoo | 6:00–10:00 p.m.
- Friday, 10/16 – ‘Fellows’ Breakfast Gathering: Design Workshop | 8:30-10:00 a.m. (Not required to be registered for the ASLA Awards Celebration to register)
- Friday, 10/16 – Sketch Crawl: Downtown | 10:00–12:00 p.m. (beginning and ending at Design Workshop) (Must be registered for the ASLA Awards Celebration to register)

Thurs Award Celebration

Cocktail Hour
Info: Mingle with friends and colleagues, grab a drink, and enjoy the outdoor courtyard while browsing this year’s project boards, visiting sponsor tables, and connecting with our special guests.

Seated Dinner & Presentation
Info: The event presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and the awards ceremony.

Celebration
Info: The celebration will continue from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. with an after-show featuring an open photo booth, specialty cocktails, a surprise group activity, and more time to connect and enjoy the evening.

Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance Project Tour
Info: Join us for a private tour highlighting current projects at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance. The tour will be led by Zoo Landscape Architect Emily Hamilton, RVi Principal Craig Russell, and SK Design Principal Aurom Mahobian. The tour will begin and end at the zoo’s main entry gates. Please note that registration for this tour does not include admission to the Annual Awards. Awards tickets must be purchased separately. Event Capacity: 30 people, first come, first serve
Fri Breakfast with Fellow

Fellows Breakfast - Hosted by Design Workshop
Info: Join us for a special breakfast and panel discussion celebrating Lori Catalano, Gretchen Wilson, and Jamie Fogle on their election to the 2026 ASLA Fellows. Fellowship is one of ASLA’s highest honors, recognizing individuals whose leadership and lasting contributions have advanced the profession and positively impacted society.
Enjoy a light breakfast and time to connect with colleagues, then join Lori, Gretchen, and Jamie for a conversation about their career journeys, lessons learned, and perspectives on leadership, mentorship, and the evolving practice of landscape architecture. Whether you're a student, emerging professional, mid-career practitioner, or seasoned leader, you'll gain valuable insights from their experiences
Friday Sketch Crawl

Annual Post Awards Sketch Crawl
Info: Join Sketch Crawl Leader Craig Stoffel for a free guided sketching walk through downtown Denver. The event will begin and end at the Fellows Breakfast at Design Workshop, with stops along 16th Street, Skyline Park, and Larimer Square. Bring your favorite sketching supplies and enjoy exploring the city through drawing.
Space is limited to 30 participants.
