Happy April! Our April First Friday is Egg-Cellent Evening! Visit the downtown area, our local businesses and restaurants, and enjoy the many activities. This First Friday will feature:Main Street Wadsworth
-Visit MC Real Estate for the Main Street Wadsworth info table and enter to win a spring-themed raffle basket.
-Be sure to get photos with the Easter Bunny in partnership with Mosaic at Mosaic Church.
-We will be hosting a Historical Egg Hunt during First Friday. Search throughout downtown for colorful eggs and learn more about the history of Wadsworth.
-There will be an egg and spoon race in partnership with Wadsworth Public Library at the Wadsworth Public Library.
-We will have an egg toss game at the Johnson House Museum.
-There will also be cookie decorating in partnership with Just Eat the Cookie at Just Eat The Cookie.
First Christian Church
-Stop by in front of MC Real Estate to visit First Christian Church. They will have Easter body tattoos, Easter crafts, and candy.
Howard Hanna
-Grab plastic Easter eggs filled with treats for the kids.
-There will also be the Plinko game for kids to play to win inflatable bunnies.
-Stop in for their coloring contest - take home, color and bring back by Monday and then two winners will be chosen at their sales meeting on Tuesday, $10 cash each.
-Plus, Timmy and Bambi the adorable Easter Chihuahuas will be there!
Johnson House Museum and Wadsworth Area Historical Society
-Will have the elementary students’ art show on display and free activity for kids.
-There will be homemade donuts available too!
-Stop by for the egg-toss competition in partnership with Main Street Wadsworth.
-Please note that the parking lot next to the Museum is under renovation.
Just Eat The Cookie
-In partnership with Main Street Wadsworth, Just Eat The Cookie will have a table ready for kids of all ages to paint their own Easter egg cookie using edible paint pallets and water in their lobby.
-Be sure to also buy themed cookies!
Lilly's Sunshine Bags
-Stop in front of Dolce at the Strand to visit Lilly's Sunshine Bags. Lilly is working on her Girl Scout Silver Award Project. She has decided to make activity bags for a local children's hospital and needs your help! Consider bringing items such as coloring books, superhero figures, hot wheels, barbie dolls, books, pop its, legos, stuffed animals, puzzles, STEM kits, and dress up items to be put in the bags.
Mosaic
-Come get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. They will also have free snacks, crafts and face paint too!
Northeast Ohio Dance
-They will offer a gardening activity (planting seeds inside an empty eggshell) for a donation of any size to their non-profit organization. They will also have homemade scones for sale.
Opal Dragonfly Boutique
-Will have their store closing and participating in their final First Friday! Come shop your favorite vendors one last time, and enjoy 50% off select merchandise!
The BookShelf
-Will have a Golden Egg Literacy Raffle. Find the golden egg at the Bookshelf table and get an entry into a book raffle.
-Take part in the Guess the Jellybeans in the Book Jar. Participate in this classic simple game and the winner gets a free book.
Urban Cottage
-Urban Cottage will be open late and have free cookies from Maddie’s Mixing Bowl while supplies last! Yum!
Wadsworth Music
-Stop in and refresh yourself with a cup of Pink Lemonade!
-They will also have an Easter egg designing station for the kids. Design an egg for a treat!
-Open until 7:00pm.
Wadsworth Square Foundation & Celestia Theater
-Stop in at 5:30 p.m. for a free pre show acoustic concert with Jay Sparrow.
-Grab tickets for their 7:00 p.m. Jesse Garron “Closest Thing to the King” tribute concert to Elvis. It’s the #1 concert to honor all the eras and hits of Elvis Presley.
-Register to win free tickets to an upcoming concerts at the Celestia Theater. 5 Winners will be drawn and announced on Saturday, April 4.
