2026 APA Heritage Awards & Community Gala

The APA Heritage Awards & Community Gala is San Francisco’s annual signature kickoff event for AAPI Heritage Month.

This celebratory evening features two segments:

• The APA Heritage Awards and AAPI Youth Change Maker Awards at the Herbst Theatre
• A festive gala reception at City Hall

This year’s theme, “Elevating Cultures,” highlights the importance of amplifying diverse AAPI voices and uplifting communities.

🕒 Time: 5:30 p.m. (Doors open at 5p.m.)
📍 Location: Herbst Theater, 401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

What to Expect:

• Mayor’s proclamation ceremony

• Presentation of the APA Heritage Awards honoring organizations for milestone achievements
• Presentation of the AAPI Youth Change Maker Awards recognizing two youth leaders for community impact
• Cultural procession featuring community participants in festive attire
