✨ You're Invited to the 2026 Annual Pikes Peak 356 Block Kids Competition! ✨
Calling all young builders, creators, and imaginative minds!
Join us for the 2026 Block Kids Building Competition, where students will design and construct a creation to live in, work in, or play in using blocks, imagination, and approved materials. Each participant will build independently—no teams—so every child’s creativity can truly shine!
📅 Date: Saturday, January 31st
⏰ Check-In: 12:30 PM
🏗️ Competition: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
📍 Location: Timberline Landscaping
8110 Opportunity View, Colorado Springs, CO (See Map Attached)
🏗️ What Participants Will Do
During the competition, each child will:
-Build a structure using 100 interlocking blocks plus approved additional materials, which may include: string, foil, poster board, construction paper, rocks
-Create something a person could live in, work in, or play in.
-Work fully independently—no teams and no adult help.
-Present their project to a judge and explain:
-What they built
-How it works
-What it’s used for
-Why they chose their design and materials
Judging is based on creativity, originality, problem-solving, and effective use of materials.
📚 Age Groups
Open to students Kindergarten through 6th grade, divided into two categories:
-K–3rd Grade
-4th–6th Grade
🎁 Prizes & Advancement
-Top 5 in each age group will receive LEGO prizes.
-The overall top winner (across all grades) will advance to the Regional Competition, with a chance to move on to Nationals!

Every child will receive:
-Goodie bags
-Snacks
-A kids’ hard hat!
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Reminder
To keep the competition fair, parents may not assist with building, designing, or explaining the project. Any assistance may result in disqualification.
To help us manage space and keep the environment comfortable for all participants, we request that families limit the number of guests attending the event. Thank you for helping us create a smooth and fun experience for everyone!
