2026 Anchorage Mushing District "Sled Dogs Downtown" Scavenger Hunt

The race is on to find the Sled Dogs Downtown!

Track sled dogs throughout downtown Anchorage in this fun scavenger hunt fundraiser during the first weekend of Fur Rondy Friday-Sunday.

Sled dogs are designed and decorated by Alaskan artists and will be located in downtown Anchorage’s local retail shops. Daily prizes awarded to the fastest teams.

Cost: $20 per person

Date: February 27-March 1st, 2026

Time: 10 am - 5 pm

Funds generated for this event and auction will go to support the construction of a sled dog starting line arch and interpretive displays along the 4th Avenue Anchorage Mushing District.

Teams of between 1-4 can participate in the scavenger hunt from Friday February 27 - March 1st, 2026. When you register, you'll receive a confirmation email containing the password you need to access the Goose Chase App.

A maximum of 50 teams may participate!
