ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

The New Jersey Chapter of SAMPE, in cooperation with the NJIT Newark College of Engineering and Otto H. York Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, is sponsoring a one-day symposium to highlight advancements in additive manufacturing technology and related research initiatives in the region.

This event will provide a forum for suppliers to showcase their products and for researchers to present their ongoing work. All participants are encouraged to explore collaboration opportunities.

We have invited participants from universities, research institutions, equipment/material suppliers, software developers, and end users/manufacturers to submit abstracts in the following areas:

  • Additive manufacturing processes
  • Novel materials
  • Equipment or software developments
  • Application of machine learning or AI tools
  • Production experience and case studies
  • Technical collaboration initiatives

REGISTRATION

  • SAMPE Members or Symposium Presenters - $150
  • Professional Non-SAMPE Members - $200
  • Students (including formal presentation or poster presenters) - $25

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

We invite research personnel, equipment/material suppliers, software developers, and end users/manufacturers to submit brief abstracts (400 word max) of presentations for the Symposium.

No formal papers are required for presentations.

Submit abstracts in Word format (name.docx) to [email protected] by May 15.

CALL FOR POSTERS

We invite students from local universities to submit posters to present and display during the Symposium.

Posters shall be printed 4 ft. wide x 3 ft. tall on paper suitable for pinning to provided boards.

Submissions will be judged based on technical content and overall presentation.

The Symposium will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

Number of entries will be limited. Submit your poster title to [email protected] by June 1 for review.

Participating students must also register for the Symposium ($25 fee).

SPONSORSHIP AND EXHIBITOR OPPORTUNITIES

  • Event Sponsor - $300
  • Exhibitor Table (includes 1 attendee registration) - $500
  • Breakfast (4 sponsors needed) - $250 each
  • Lunch (6 sponsors needed) - $250 each
  • Student Poster Contest Awards - $100, $50, and $25
  • Student Registrations - $25 each

All sponsors will have their company logo in the event program, website, and promotions.

Sponsors and Exhibitors will also have a 10 minute opportunity to present their company and products to attendees during our Sponsor Showcase.

EVENT LOCATION AND PARKING

The AM Symposium will be located in the AGIL Laboratory of the Central King Bldg (#7 on the map). 100 Summit St, Newark, NJ 07103.

Free parking will be available in the Summit Parking Deck, #1 on the map off of Summit Street. (Google Maps: "NJIT Parking Deck").
