The workshop is the premier event for animal
management professionals, held over two days on
27–28 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza, Hobart,
Tasmania.
The objective of the workshop is to provide a
national forum for professionals involved in animal
management, aiming to:
• Critically and constructively assess animal
management practices and performance
• Reflect on the essential roles and purpose of animal
management
• Inspire innovative thinking and encourage exploring
better approaches
• Foster collaboration and promote best practice
• Share knowledge and experiences to build a sense of
common purpose and mutual support
• Promote evidence driven practice through the use of
data, research, and proven methodologies
And of course, to reconnect, share some laughs and support, and meet some new faces.
