2026 AIA North Carolina Legislative Day

AIA NC Legislative Day is our annual opportunity for architects from across North Carolina to come together at the General Assembly and advocate for the profession, our communities, and the future of the built environment.

This impactful day equips members with the tools and talking points needed to engage confidently with legislators on issues that affect architectural practice and the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Participants receive policy briefings and advocacy training before meeting directly with lawmakers to share insights from the field and highlight the value architects bring to communities across the state.

Schedule:

8:30 am Open for Registration & Check-In

9:00 am Breakfast and Legislative Briefing

10:00 am – 12 pm Legislative Meetings at the Legislative Building or Legislative Office Building (more information will be provided later)

11:30 – 1:30 pm Box Lunches: Enjoy Lunch at CfAD

1:30 – 4:00 pm Legislative Visits: Head to the Legislative Building for Appointments with Legislators at the Legislative Complex
