About this Event

The Afrolatino Festival NYC returns July 23–26, 2026 for four days of live music, film, industry programming, and community dialogue across Brooklyn, El Barrio, East Village, and Central Park.

Under the theme The Cultural Economies of Diaspora, the Festival launches the inaugural Consider Culture Music Market, convening artists, managers, presenters, funders, and venues to build new relationships and expand live-music opportunities for Afrolatino artists and others across the diaspora.

6-9 PM Keynote: Susana Baca former Minister of Culture for Peru and Leydi Higidio, current Minister of Culture, Cali Colombia join us for a conversation on Black cultural heritage, expression and the arts.

Join us for the next edition of our Pepper sauce pop up. Various pepper sauce purveyors will be on hand for this uniquie cultural activation that brings the heat.

Festival Latinidades , direct from Brazil, presents the NY premiere of Afrolatinas a documentary on the 30+ year herstory of the Black Womens Movement in the Americas.
