2026 Advanced Pectus Course

The conference will occur on November 16 - 17, 2026, at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa, 5200 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85018, USA

The Advanced Pectus Course is designed to help educate surgeons who are currently performing the Nuss Procedure in their practice but want to improve their results. Since its description by Dr. Nuss over 20 years ago, the technique has changed markedly. Improved techniques to eliminate bar rotation, prevent intercostal stripping and safer passage of the bars under the sternum have been developed. The course will cover modifications for adult pectus patients, techniques for recurrent or failed prior surgery, and modifications for mixed defects.

The Advanced Pectus Course is an interactive course, presented by pectus surgical professionals who will deliver constructive and detailed lectures, along with embedded videos of live cases designed for pediatric and thoracic surgeons. This will aid in identifying strategies to update and improve the care of pectus patients, improve safety, ensure adequate repair both physically and physiologically, eliminate bar rotation, prevent intercostal stripping.

Additional Objectives but not limited to:

• Apply evidenced-based medicine to pectus (chest wall) patient care.
• Demonstrate innovative surgical techniques of both complex and unusual pectus patient repair.
• Differentiate the diagnosis and treatment options between pediatric and adult pectus cases.
• Provide solutions for complex pectus patient repair, including revisions of recurrent or inadequately repaired pectus.

CME Credit

• Continuing Medical Education credits will be available.
