September 25, 2026 - John Hewitt & Spotlight Artist In-The-Round

John Hewitt is a prolific Canadian songwriter based in Edmonton Alberta. With 9 albums to date, over 150 tour dates per year mixed in with managing a production company it’s easy to see why he’s often considered one of the hardest working musicians in Alberta.

October 30, 2026 - Von Bieker & Spotlight Artist In-The-Round

Von Bieker plays indie folk that haunts your heart with small stories and big questions. Thoughtful lyrics, emotional performances and a growing bowtie collection have gathered a fanbase seeking connection. His recent album DUMB HOPE reached #6 on !Earshot’s weekly Folk/Roots/Blues chart and #45 on CKUA’s top albums of 2024.

November 20, 2026 - Kate Stevens & Spotlight Artist In-The-Round

Kate Stevens is a Calgary-born singer, songwriter, and storyteller with a voice that feels both timeless and brand new. Drawing from her love of early R&B and weaving in funk, rock, and soul, Kate creates music that’s heartfelt, groovy, and unmistakably her own. Her songs invite listeners into the snapshots of her life; moments of heartbreak, friendship, and the kind of love that lingers.

Dec 11, 2026 - Haybelles

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, The Haybelle’s are the gal-powered offshoot of the beloved Red Hot Hayseeds, blending Western swing and old-time country with smooth harmonies and feminine energy. Formed by four seeds — Dayna Lyn (Day) on guitar and vocals, Rikki J Browne (Rik) on vocals, Sydney Zadravec (Syd) on bass and vocals, and Cathy Billington (Cath) on fiddle and vocals — The Haybelle’s combine their musical roots and long-time friendship to create a sound that’s both classic and confidently their own.

January 15, 2027 - Burnstick & Spotlight Artist In-The-Round

March 12, 2027 - Suzie Vinnick & Spotlight Artist In-The-Round

April 9, 2027 - Jeffery Straker & Spotlight Artist In-The-Round

Singer-songwriter pianist Jeffery Straker serves up a rootsy-storytelling brand of song that has been said to transport listeners - out onto a northern lake or to the main street of a prairie town. His most recent recording ‘Great Big Sky’ won a Canadian Folk Music Award & unexpectedly found a fan in none other than his majesty King Charles III. It also saw him chosen to represent Canada at Expo ’25 in Osaka Japan. With critical comparisons to the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Murray McLauchlan & Jackson Browne Straker has twice been named 'Roots-Folk Artist of the Year' in Saskatchewan, has been honoured with a Western Canadian Music Award.

May 7, 2027 All Alberta Night - Christie Simmons, Toni Vere, Matt Beatty

Spotlight Artists nights include an in-the-round opening set with two spotlight artists alongside the headliner which will be chosen over the next few months - artists can apply on our website. The headliner also hosts a songwriting workshop the day prior. Spotlight artists will once again be in the running for a career building prize package.

** Note: Winning Spotlight artist Jason Andrew Griffith will be performing in the 2027-2028 season instead as the spot we had held conflicts with his prize winning Home Routes Tour - which we are excited to hear alllll about!
