2025 Winter Season Tickets | The Gardens at Dumbarton Oaks

The Gardens of Dumbarton Oaks are an oasis within the city. Designed by renowned landscape gardener Beatrix Farrand in collaboration with Mildred Bliss, the garden extends over ten acres of terraced gardens and vistas, orchards, and kitchen gardens. Farrand and Bliss worked together for almost thirty years to achieve their vision of the Garden which includes many fine decorative ornaments—benches, gates, finials, and sculptures.

Entry is free to the public and requires a ticket reservation in advance. A ticket allows entry between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the Gardens close at 5:00 p.m. Reentry is not permitted.

During the Winter Season, the Gardens are closed on the following dates:

• Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day)
• Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Years Day)

On these days, daily tickets will not be available and season passes will not be honored.

Garden tickets are limited to 10 per household per day and are only available online via Eventbrite.
