2025 Vision Board Networking Party for Creatives

A vision board is a visual representation of our goals, aspirations, and dreams, often created on a poster board using images, words, and symbols that inspire and align with our desired future. People often use magazines, printed images, or personal drawings to create their boards, combining visuals with inspiring quotes or affirmations.

The purpose of a vision board ist to:

1. Clarify Goals: Helps clearly define and visualize what we want to achieve.
2. Motivate Ourselves: Provides daily inspiration and motivation to work toward our aspirations.
3. Focus Our Minds: Keeps our goals front and center, helping us maintain focus amidst distractions.
4. Manifest Goals/Intentions: Encourages positive thinking and reinforces the law of attraction, where focusing on our goals can help us be more intentional in our efforts bring them to fruition.

Why Have a Vision Board Party on the Last Day of January ?

1. Time for Reflection: By the end of January, we've had time to reflect on the New Year's resolutions. By the end of January, we've have had a chance to determine which New Year goals aren't working for us. This time allows for more thoughtful reflection.
2. Second Start: Often New Year's resolutions lose momentum. A vision board networking party provides an opportunity for us reset and refocus before the year picks up pace.
3. Revised Goals/Intentions: It allows us the opportunity to clarify our goals/intentions after assessing what's realistic and meaningful to us during the first weeks of the New Year.
4. Community Support: Showing up for ourselves and others fosters comradery, accountability, inspiration, and encouragement.
5. Community and Connection: It creates a wonderful networking opportunity and supportive environment where you can share ideas, encourage one another, and build connections over shared aspirations.
6. Positive Energy: Sharing a meal and our goals in a party setting creates a fun and collaborative environment that helps make goal/intention-setting feel empowering rather than overwhelming.
7. Keeping the Momentum: Ending the first month of the year with a renewed vision and a larger network of support can provide motivation and positive connections into the rest of the year.

This is a hybrid event.

In-Person Participation Fee: $45.75

• Along with a variety of food, in-person participants will receive (1) one poster board OR one sheet of construction paper; and (2) access to various art supplies (glue sticks, scissors, glitter pens, markers, etc.) to create one vision board.
• In-person participants will also receive one 12" x 12", 2025 African American Expressions calendar on the day of the event. IMPORTANT NOTE: Scroll down to choose the 2025 calendar of your choice. Please add the calendar title and SKU number to your EventBrite registration form. Subtitutions are sent when calendars are out of stock.
• In-person participants should bring their 30-second elevator speech to share during the icebreaker and magazines they don't mind cutting up and sharing with other participants.

Virtual Participation Fee: $25.75

• Online participants will participate for four hours via a recorded ZOOM session;
• Online participants will also receive one 12" x 12", 2025 African American Expressions calendar. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please scroll down to choose the calendar of your choice. • Online participants are encouraged to bring their 30-second elevator speech to share during the icebreaker and to utilize a free online platform that the host will share with them in order to create virtual vision boards.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a 10/30/50 raffle. There are three types of raffle tickets ($5, $10 or $20) for this event. There will be only one (1) raffle ticket drawing. If your raffle ticket number is selected, you will win the following cash or CashApp award based on the type of raflle ticket you purchased & how you paid for your raffle ticket.

By paying either the In-Person Participation Fee or the Virtual Participation Fee, event participants (1) confirm that they are at least 18 years of age; (2) acknowledge that they have read this legal section in full and (3) agree to:

• allow their photo, image, and/or likeness to be photographed or videotaped on the day of the event for marketing/promotional purposes on social media and other marketing/promotional platforms by Lynn Pinder, Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC), other BGJWC consultants/staff, BGJWC Board Members and/or affiliated agencies/companies and/or third party companies.
• allow thier voice or video images to be recorded for marketing/promotional purposes by Lynn Pinder, Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC), other BGJWC consultants/staff, BGJWC Board Members, affiliated organizations and third party platforms;
• relinquish all right(s) to charge or earn profit from Lynn Pinder, Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC), other BGJWC consultants/staff, BGJWC Board Members and any affiliated agencies and third party companies for use of their photo, image and/or likeness (audio/voice, video and/or print);
• release Lynn Pinder, Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC), other BGJWC consultants/staff, BGJWC Board Members, affiliated organizations, third party platforms from legal responsibility if injured while participating in this event, in-person or virtually.
