The Team Captains Tournament brings together the best captains from Southwest Michigan APA for an exciting competition. Below are the key details:
Tournament Date and Venue:
Date: April 5, 2025
Location: Black River Billiards, Holland, MI
Start Time: 12:00 PM
Practice Tables Available: From 11:00 AM
Participant Requirements:
Maximum Handicap: 15
Team Roster: Up to 5 players, with 3 playing per match.
Entry Fee: $50 per person (Travel Assistance Based on Participation)
Minimum Games Requirement: Players must have at least twenty (20) 8 or 9 Ball scores within the last two (2) years, not a combination of both
Skill Level: The highest skill level between 8 and 9 Ball will be used (maximum of 7). One senior player (SL 6/7) per match is allowed.
Active Team Membership: Players must be on an active team in Southwest Michigan APA
Captaincy Requirement: Players must have been a captain for at least 2 of the last three sessions for Southwest Michigan APA (Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025) Eligibility List: A list of eligible captains and their skill levels will be released next week.
Participation Requirement: All players on the team MUST play in at least ONE MATCH in the event.

Match Format:
Race to 5 points format, Modified Single Elimination
Game Rotation: Alternate between 8 and 9 Ball
Match Order: Played from the lowest skill level to the highest.
Point System: Each game is worth one point.
Skill Level Restriction: Only one player with a skill level of 6 or higher may play in any given match.
Qualified Handicaps for Vegas and World Qualifier will be used. The winning team advances to the Vegas Tournament at the Westgate on August 14-15. The tournament follows a Modified Single Elimination format to enhance competition and excitement.
Important Considerations:
Teams must remain active during the summer to maintain their qualification for the Vegas tournament.
This tournament will send one team to Vegas in August to compete.
