Learning Objectives

• Understand what reverberation is and how it can be used to determine optimal conditions for communication and foster occupant well-being
• Learn what Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is and how it applies to surfaces and materials in a space.
• Describe how acoustic materials and the shape or configuration they are in can be used to create high values of NRC
• Explain why NRC should be considered an absorption per square foot number.
