2025 SICTC Welding Competition presented by Nix Industrial

Join us for our welding competition for all levels of experience on March 15, 2025 at The Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center!

The competition is divided by ages: Student ages 14-17, Apprentice ages 18-22, and Pro age 23+. Prizes will be given to the top 3 contestants in each category at the conclusion of the competition.

Competitors will be given 45 minutes to perform two welds: 1G MIG weld and a 3G stick weld. All competitors will be judged by CWI's.

Welders are expected to bring their own proper PPE (welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, steel toes, ear plugs, long sleeve clothing, grinders, and hand tools, etc.) SICTC, Nix Industrial, Evansville Welding Supply, and Lincoln Electric will provide the metal, welding machine, and consumables.

The event will begin at 7am CST and will last until 12pm. We will send out a schedule to all competitors with your designated time slot days before the event.

We can host a maximum of 30 participants, so make sure you secure your spot by purchasing a ticket today!
