2025 Sarasota County Master Gardener Recruitment Meeting

Are you looking to expand your horticulture knowledge while giving back to the community and supporting our educational programming at the UF/IFAS Sarasota County Extension office? After completing a 14 week in-person, hands-on training you will be prepared to help your community through our Master Gardener Volunteer Plant Clinics, Demonstration Gardens, Propagation Greenhouse, School Gardens, 4H and much, much more!

The UF/IFAS Sarasota County Exension is now recruiting individuals to participate in the 2025 Master Gardener Class which runs from February through May, 2025. If you are interested, please plan to attend one of the three recruitment sessions (the other two are Aug. 6 @ Twin Lakes Park from 10 AM - 11 AM and Sept. 26 at Shamrock Park and Nature Center from 4-5 PM).

In this event you will meet Sarasota County's Residential Horticulture Agent and Master Gardener Volunteer, Ashley Ellis, and learn about the application process and program structure, expectations and benefits of becomming a Sarasota County Master Gardener Volunteer
