Summit Overview
Setting the Table for an Abundant Future

Join us for the 2025 San Juan Islands Agricultural Summit on Friday February 28th and Saturday March 1st. This year’s event will be held on Lopez Island and will consist of in-person workshops during the day and an evening community social at the Lopez Community Center on Friday, and an in-person conference day on Saturday at Lopez School.

This year our theme is inspired by the name of the newly developed San Juan County Food System Plan, prepared by the San Juan County Food System Team. The plan is rooted in goals that focus on creating a resilient food future, including a focus on scaling up local food production. As this plan was created with input from many different perspectives and layers of feedback from our community, it seemed fitting to use it as a guide for our continued connections and educational opportunities. In developing the content for this year’s event, we were not only guided by the food systems plan. We also used the valuable responses to our evaluations from the 2024 Summit and our 2024 Community Survey.

We are thrilled to welcome Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin to Lopez Island as our keynote speaker. The CEO of Tree-Range Farms, Reginaldo leads a visionary enterprise that is transforming the food system through regenerative land practices, animal health, and family farmer profitability and sustainability.

The San Juan Islands Agriculture Summit is a valued annual event that provides a unique opportunity for the food and agricultural community from across the islands, and beyond, to gather. Designed as a space for inspiration, education, and camaraderie, the Ag Summit features a keynote, hands-on workshops, presentations by farmers and regional specialists, panel discussions, meals and social events.
