Come join us at Burton Park for a day filled with fun, food, and festivities to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Enjoy traditional performances, cultural displays, and delicious Food Trucks (The Chairman Bao, Saigon Street Food, Respectable Bird)!

Don't miss out on the exciting activities for all ages. There will be a lion dance, cultural performances by local talent, free giveaways, red envelopes, the Library’s Maker Mobile, and more. It's a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Lunar New Year with the San Carlos community.

Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a celebration of the new year based on the lunisolar calendar. It signifies the start of spring and a fresh beginning, and is considered a major holiday in many countries including China, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and various other communities worldwide. Lunar New Year is celebrated with family gatherings, special festive foods, and traditions such as lion dances and lantern lightings,symbolizing the cleansing of the old and the welcoming of prosperity for the coming year.
