GOVERNOR'S PARADE
Saturday April 19th, 2025
Rides ALL across the state the state of Iowa will come together as a group to Polk County Public Works to parade to Easterseals Camp Sunnyside.
Polk County Public Works - 5885 NE 14th St, Des Moines, IA 50313
Easterseals Iowa & Camp Sunnyside - 401 NE 66th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313
Please be saddled & ready to go by 2PM. Plan ahead if you need to be bussed to camp and come back to ride in the parade. There will be bussing available to and from Camp if you plan to ride in the parade provided by Easterseals Camp Sunnyside.
There is NO DRINKING AND NO SMOKING at Polk County Public Works or Camp Sunnyside. Please be respectful of this! You are also responsible for cleaning up after yourself and your horses at BOTH locations.
There is not any stalls or pens available at Camp Sunnyside. Please keep them in your trailer or tied up securely. Large trailers & trucks will be parking in the main parking lot. All others will be in the back around Lake Cheerio. There will be personnel directing where to go.
Food will be available provided & served by Camp Sunnyside.
Saleable items will be available by Rustic Graphic Creations. If something is not available you will be able to order for shipping.
Money room will be open at NOON at Camp Sunnyside. Please try to turn in your monies by check from your local county accounts to help lessen the handling of cash and quicker turn around time for counting. You will also turn in your sold/unsold raffle tickets at this location. There will NOT be a money room at Lake Robbins. Everything needs turned in at Camp Sunnyside.
Easterseals Camp Sunnyside is also hosting Games & an Easter Egg Hunt while waiting for the parade to come. So don't forget to bring your Easter Baskets for your kids.
Again, NO DRINKING & NO SMOKING at Polk County Public Works & Easterseals Camp Sunnyside and you are responsible for cleaning up after yourself and your horses at both locations.
VICTORY DANCE

Lake Robbins Ballroom

Music featuring Dirt Road Divide
Dance 7:30PM-11:30PM
Doors open at 6PM
$10 per person - 12 & under FREE
Advance tickets will be available at Camp Sunnyside on Ride Day for $5
Food will be available at Lake Robbins before the dance and breakfast following after for an additional cost
No drinks are to be taken in or out at Lake Robbins!
Silent auction will be provided by the Board of Directors
2024 Massimo T-Boss 760 Raffle tickets will be sold and winner will be drawn during a band break
Trailer parking will be available in the back pasture at Lake Robbins. No parking in the gravel parking lot. This is no additional cost. You are responsible for cleaning up your site.
Camping & Stalls available at Dallas County Fairgrounds
in Adel - 28057 Fairground Rd, Adel, IA 50003
$15 a night per stall including electric. There is a dropbox to put your payment. No Horses in camping area. You are responsible for cleaning your stalls and camping area.
