Join us for Gerber/Hart’s second Queer History Symposium on Saturday, October 4th, from 9 AM to 5 PM! This full day symposium will highlight artists, researchers, students, and community members who have utilized Gerber/Hart’s collections in the past year.
Opening remarks from filmmaker Jose Luis Benavides.
Closing remarks by historian John D’Emilio.
Panel discussions on Art in the Archives, Queer Zines, Chicago Archival Sleuthing, and more!

Sliding Scale Ticket Pricing:
Ticket prices are set to allow us to cover costs for this event (honorariums for speakers and provide lunch, coffee, and other amenities throughout the day) as well as to raise money to continue our mission of collecting, preserving, and making accessible the LGBTQ+ history of Chicago and the Midwest. As a small, LGBTQ+ non-profit organization we appreciate any support you are able to provide!
