If you’ve been a part of the Portage Lake community, you know camp is a place where many people experience the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives, whether on staff or as campers. For some campers, it may be the first time they experience God’s presence in such a significant way that they choose to follow Jesus. While we often think of camp as being a summer activity, ministry happens here year round.
The Gala is a night to amplify the work Jesus Christ does at Portage Lake through the lives of those who set foot on camp. It is an opportunity to gather with our camp family, to hear stories of how God has been at work through our 78 year history, how we can anticipate how God will continue to be at work in the future, and how we can continue to support the ministries of camp spiritually and financially.
