On Saturday, December 6, 2025, we close out our 50th anniversary year with one of our most treasured traditions—Pelican Ball—hosted in the James Devin Moncus Theater at the Acadiana Center for the Arts.This annual gala honors the individuals whose passion and service have shaped the cultural life of Acadiana, from those who have supported AcA’s mission directly to those whose impact reaches across the broader arts community. The evening includes a live and silent auction—your one and only chance to receive a Pelican on Parade for your business or home.
Pelican Ball is a celebration of everything that makes our cultural community thrive. We gather to recognize this year’s honorees and to revel in the joy of art, music, and food, surrounded by the core flock of Acadiana’s creative supporters.

Sponsors are invited to a special VIP reception at 6 p.m. preceding the gala, where honorees are recognized with commemorative plaques and offered the opportunity to share reflections.
All funds raised through Pelican Ball directly support the programs of the Acadiana Center for the Arts—from bringing nationally renowned artists in music, dance, theater, and visual arts to Lafayette, to enriching over 80 schools and over 40,000 students across the region through AcA’s robust community and arts in educational programs.
Founded in 1975 as the Acadiana Arts Council, and transformed into the Acadiana Center for the Arts in 2010, AcA has spent five decades championing the arts in our region—serving as a bridge between artists and audiences, and between local talent and the world stage.
