2025 Oceanic Global Short Film Festival: NYC Premiere Screening & Drinks

Join and for an exclusive in-person premiere screening event celebrating environmental storytelling through Oceanic Global’s 2025 Short Film Festival.

Celebrate the global debut of the , featuring winning films submitted by over 74 filmmakers from 23 countries. The evening will include two screenings of this year’s 5 winning films, a panel discussion, and a chance to connect with fellow ocean advocates. Mingle with local changemakers and sip on drinks atas we celebrate the power of environmental storytelling.

Hosted by Oceanic Global, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with the global ocean community, raise critical funds and learn how you can get involved with Oceanic Global’s mission to protect our oceans. 100% of Screening Tickets and 20% of all ‘ocean potion’ drink sale proceeds will support Oceanic Global in furthering our programs and mission.

• Parking: LAZ Parking - The 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge Garage
• Limited parking is available. Please consider carpooling or using public transportation!

Activities:

• ~ 5:30pm Doors Open
• ~6:30pm-9:30pm Community Drinks at (ongoing, RSVP required)
• ~6:00pm-6:45pm First Screening (Tickets Required)
• ~7:15pm Second Screening/Panel Discussion(Tickets Required)
• ~8:45pm Late Screening (TBD) (Tickets Required)

Community Drinks Access:

• Free access to community drinks is available starting at 6:30pm, but space is limited. Be sure to RSVP early to secure your spot! Suggested donation $10.

Screening Tickets:

• Limited Seating Available: Tickets for each of the two screenings are $20 and available on a first-come, first-served basis, with only 40 ticket seats per screening.
• Waitlist: Once screenings reach full capacity, a waitlist will be available for those wishing to attend. Screenings will fill up fast, so be sure to book your tickets early to secure your spot!
• Donor Tickets: Additional donation tickets are available for those who want to contribute further to Oceanic Global’s mission.

The 2025 Oceanic Global Short Film Festival brought together a panel of critically acclaimed judges Karim Iliya, Ben Moon, Dr. Shireen Rahimi, Matt Porteous and Lucy Martens to review submissions from around the globe and select the 5 winning films.

About the Oceanic Global Short Film Festival

The Oceanic Global Short Film Festival launched in 2020 with the aim of uplifting environmental and ocean storytelling from around the world. Oceanic Global is hosting the third installment of our around the theme 'Wonder’ which explores the awe-inspiring aspects of our blue planet, encouraging creative storytelling that underscores our profound connection to nature and highlights the vital role that water plays as a sustaining life.
