THE “FIVE” HARP PLAYERS!
RYAN HARTT! One of New England’s top shelf Blues Harmonica players and soulful vocalists! In 2000, Ryan founded and currently fronts the long standing, popular Connecticut jump Blues act “Ryan Hartt and The Blues Hearts” which was voted the Hartford Advocate’s Readers poll, “Best Blues Band” in 2005, 2007 & 2008 & 2011 and competed in the International Blues challenge in Memphis in 2004, 2007 & 2010. Their recording “Yeah Man” was a top 8 finalist in the Best self-produced CD contest and has recently released a fantastic new CD called “be about it”. Ryan will have the disc for sale at the show!
JOHNNY MARINO! Trust us, one note played by this Blues-Harp Monster / vocalist and you’ll be darn glad you stopped in to catch this show! Johnny Marino currently fronts “Carl Ricci & 706 Union Ave”, who had made it this year’s semi -finals at the 2025 international Blues challenge in Memphis. You may also recognize Johnny from his band, “Blueshead” out of Springfield, MA.
DAVE ROBBINS! Fire Breathing Blues Harp Master and Vocalist Dave Robbins currently fronts CT Blues fav’s, “The Incredible Amplifires”! “The Amps” are currently recording an all original album. Dave also plays with Muddy Waters’ eldest son, Mud Morganfield when touring New England and can be seen regularly with Indie Blues Guitar phenom, Orb Mellon! Over the years, Dave has shared the stage with the likes of James Cotton, Junior Wells, Koko Taylor, Southside Johnny, Sugar Ray, Dennis Greunling, Steve Guyger, Jerry Portnoy, Bruce Katz, James Montgomery, Adam Gussow & many more.
WALLY “Sweet Daddy” GREANEY! Legendary Harp, Sax and Vocalist, Wally Greaney propelled “Sweet Daddy Cool Breeze” into a powerhouse rockin band in 1990. Through the years the band has grown its European fan base while touring over-seas for 25 years! Back home the band toured regularly on the east coast until 2008. In 2023, with the release of their 6th recording, Sweet Daddy continues to work today at a successful Blues career which had already spanned over 35 yrs. “Sweet Daddy” has also recorded with “Matt Guitar” Murphy from “The Blues Brothers” along with “Jaimoe” from The Allman Brothers, and “Kenny Johnson” from the James Cotton Band. Wally has worked with John Kay from Steppenwolf and has shared the stage with Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, James Cotton, Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, Taj Mahal and Bo Didley.
JUNIOR KRAUSS! Worth the price of admission alone, Junior Krauss is a Connecticut-based Harp/vocal gem! To put it plainly, Junior is one bad-ass harp blowing phenom that plays in the vein of the legendary, Iconic, electrifying, Blues Harp master, Little Walter! Junior has fronted the ultra-popular hard-swingin, jump Blues band, Jr. Krauss & The Shakes since 1999. In 2005, The Shakes won the CT Blues challenge and went on to The International Blues Challenge in Memphis!
