2025 NHC Food Safety Committee Meeting

Attendees of this year's meeting will hear from industry peers on topics ranging from key considerations when developing environmental monitoring programs to managing audits beyond food safety, as well as reports from Dr. Laura Strawn of Virginia Tech on new research data regarding food safety risk mitigation for pears, NHC staff on bin management best practices to comply with the FSMA Produce Safety Rule, and Dr. Claire Murphy on what we know about the design, as well as cleaning and sanitation strategies, for wax brushes. This meeting is free of charge. However, please RSVP by COB on March 13, 2025, so that we have an accurate count for lunches and meeting material. This meeting is open to any employee of an apple, pear, or cherry grower, packer, or shipper in the Pacific Northwest. Other individuals must contact the NHC for permission to attend.
