About this Event
Moot court is a simulated court proceeding, typically conducted as part of legal education or training, where participants argue hypothetical legal cases. It mimics real court processes, including oral arguments and sometimes written briefs, but without witnesses or evidence presentation. Participants act as lawyers presenting arguments before a panel of judges (often actual lawyers or judges) to improve their legal research, reasoning, public speaking, and argumentation skills.
Student participants will engage in a hands-on moot court experience and will be trained by a Roger Williams University law student to argue a case in a courtroom.
