The Midwinter Armizare Open is a public display of skill with one and two-handed swords in a relatively rules-light format meant to emphasize the tactical priorities of fighting with sharp weapons in lethal combat.This year's event returns to our home studio, Forteza Fitness!

We are excited to announce a slight change to our events this year! We will be bringing back Two-Handed Sword and Sword & Companion Weapon Events. However, we will now be splitting our Single-Handed Sword into two separate events:
- Single-Handed Sword which includes arming sword, short sideswords, messers, & dussack only , &
- Rapier & Sidesword only event for longer single-handed weapons.
Our tentative schedule for the weekend will be as follows, but is subject to change :
SATURDAY :
8:30 am : Check -In Opens
10:00 am : Opening Announcements
10:30 am : Sword & Companion Tournament Starts
1:30 pm : Two-Handed Sword Tournament Starts
5:00 pm : Open Fencing
SUNDAY :
8:30 am : Check-In Opens
10:00 am : Opening Announcements
10:30 am : Single-Handed Sword Tournament Starts
1:30 pm : Rapier & Sidesword Tournament Starts
4:00 pm : Midwinter Finals
The victors of each of the 4 Tournament are invited to participate in the Tournament of the Midwinter King that will take place on Sunday, February 2nd.

Registration is $65 per tournament. If you're signing up for multiple events, please be aware that 1) each event requires a separate registration and 2) due to previous system overloads, FIGHTERS CAN ONLY REGISTER FOR ONE EVENT PER 24 HOURS.
Fighters are welcome to try to register for multiple events a day, but you may receive an error message to avoid accidental duplicate charges. We apologize for inconvenience, but we cannot override the system fails safes.
