2025 Maryland Muslim Lobby Day

On Monday, February 17, 2025, join Maryland Muslims at the House of Delegates in Annapolis with CAIR, the United Maryland Muslim Council, Prince Georges' County Muslim Council and the IMAN Network to meet with state lawmakers and legislative staff to discuss issues such as: 1) repealing Maryland's unconstitutional anti-BDS executive order, 2)ending public funding for the Maryland Israel Development Center (MIDC) that brings Israeli weapons manufacturers into our state, 3) ending 287(g) contracts that deputize local law enforcement officials to effectively become ICE agents , 4) enhancing penalties for doxxing attacks against students, 5) Second Look Act to address extreme sentencing and mass incarceration , 6) protecting safe locations for immigrant communities such as hsopitals and schools, 7) protecting vulnerable tenants against arbitrary evictions, 8) designating January as 'Muslim American Heritage Month' in Maryland to combat Islamophobia and promote inclusivity, and more.
