2025 Lunar New Year On Havana Street Festival

Mark your calendars for a can’t-miss cultural experience at Lunar New Year On Havana Street! Back by popular demand, the second annual celebration promises a distinctive, family-friendly festival in the heart of Aurora to kick off the Year of the Snake in spectacular style. This free, family-friendly event is a unique opportunity to explore Asian cultures, connect with the community!

Sponsored by On Havana Street, the celebration will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stampede (2430 S. Havana St., Aurora) and surrounding areas. This immersive event is co-hosted by Asian Avenue Magazine, Bonfire Event Co., and Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network.

From live music and cultural performances to international cuisine and a global marketplace, this celebration has something for everyone:

Spectacular Lion Dances and Martial Arts: Experience jaw-dropping lion dance performances by Guiding Mountain Dragon & Lion Dance.

1:00 PM & 1:45 PM: Denver Taiko, Japanese Taiko drumming

2:15 PM & 2:45 PM: Meta Sarmiento, Filipino hip hop artist

3:00 PM & 3:20 PM: Guiding Mountain Dragon & Lion Dance Performers

4:00 PM: KPop Rockstar performances; also Firecrackers Celebration (outside)

5:00 PM: KonnectPop K-Pop Dance Showcase, featuring live performances by David Park & Jay

Family Activities All Day: Face painting, balloon art, bubble machines, henna, craft stations, and a kids’ corner where families can make paper dragons and enjoy Lunar New Year-themed coloring pages.

Global Marketplace: Shop unique goods from vendors offering art, jewelry, fashion, home décor, and more, reflecting the rich diversity of Aurora.

Food and Drinks: Indulge in bites and sips from local favorites and pop-up vendors showcasing cuisines from across Asia, including: Mukja, Colorado Cocoa Pod, Craft and Crumbles, The Urban Farmhouse, Astro Coffee Van, C&S Sugar Rush,Talavera Cocina, and dozens more!
