The City of Litchfield Park is hosting our annual Trout Fishing Derby on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Tierra Verde Lake. The lake will be stocked with 750 pounds of rainbow trout for the derby. The derby is traditionally a fun family event. Age group trophies are awarded in various categories, including largest trout caught, smallest trout caught and most trout caught. There will also be opportunities to win raffle prizes.The event is "rain or shine" and will run from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A fishing license is not needed to take part in the derby; however, participants must bring their own poles and bait.
Registration will open in the winter! Check back late November to register for your session!
All are ages are welcome to fish in either session. You are also able to purchase tickets for both sessions if you would like to fish all day!
