Xochitl Gonzalez is a cultural critic and acclaimed author whose debut novel Olga Dies Dreaming was named the Best Book of 2022 by The New York Times, TIME, Kirkus, The Washington Post, and NPR. As a staff writer for The Atlantic, she was recognized as a 2023 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Commentary. Her latest novel, Anita de Monte Laughs Last, was selected as a Reese's Book Club Pick and longlisted for the Aspen Words Literary Prize. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and Brown University, Gonzalez serves on the board of the Brooklyn Public Library and brings her experience as a former entrepreneur and lifelong Brooklynite to her incisive writing about contemporary Latinx culture.
