This year’s conference will feature a ‘Paternal Health & Fatherhood Track’ for fathers, aspiring fathers, male leaders and youth.
About the Conference:
This event brings awareness, education, interactive modules and art together in all things black maternal health and wellness for our community addressing the shortcomings of maternal health for women, men & their families. Parents with lived experiences with lived experiences related to the subject matter including fatherhood and male mentorship are highly encouraged to attend.
The conference is scheduled for Sunday, April 13th at Pellissippi State Community College Magnolia Campus.
“The 2025 Black Maternal Health Conference features local researchers, birth workers, holistic practitioners, business owners, advocates and professionals who work within the realm of maternal health and wellness here in Knoxville to include the tri-cities.”
Our goals of this convening are:
Bring awareness to the community and stakeholders on the status of black maternal/ paternal health within Knoxville and outside of the city.
Provide educational and insightful information to the public and its stakeholders.
Provide access to local and regional resources
Establish funding to continue our works and advocacy for black men and women in the maternal health sector and reproductive rights realm
