2025 International Medieval Combat Federation World Championships

International Medieval Combat Federation World Championships is a prestigious international buhurt (full-contact medieval combat) tournament that unites top teams from around the globe. Our mission is to promote the sport of buhurt, celebrate medieval heritage, and foster camaraderie among participants and spectators alike. This is the FIRST time a buhurt world championship has ever been held in the United States.

Participants: Over 200 participants from more than 20 countries

Audience: Arena seats 5,000 spectators, including medieval combat enthusiasts, history buffs, and families.

Vendors: Food trucks, crafts, weapons, and more! Vendors of all sorts will be set up throughout the tournament.

Buhurt is a full-contact sport that recreates medieval combat using historically accurate armor and blunted weapons. Fighters compete in team battles and duels, emphasizing both athletic skill and historical authenticity that mimics a medieval tournament held for kings and queens for centuries! The International Medieval Combat Federation (IMCF), founded in 2013, is one of the leading governing bodies for this sport. IMCF hosts world championships that attract top fighters from across the globe, helping to grow the sport's popularity and international reach.
