2025 Heritage Toronto Awards

Join us in celebrating the 50th Heritage Toronto Awards!

The longest running program of its kind in Canada, the Heritage Toronto Awards recognize outstanding achievements in preserving and promoting Toronto’s heritage across three juried categories (Book, Built Heritage, and Public History) and two awards given at the discretion of the Heritage Toronto Board (Volunteer Service and Special Achievement).

The event begins with the Opening Reception, presented by Ridley Windows & Doors. Nominees, City Councillors, emerging professionals, and leaders from across cultural, development, and policy-making communities will mingle while enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres. This year, the reception is expanding into the Round Room – a stunning space, said to have inspired the design of The Rockefeller Center’s iconic Rainbow Room – and will feature programming celebrating 50 years of award-winning and city-changing heritage projects, sponsored by OPCMIA Local 598. Guests can look forward to lounging in a book nook, exploring the detailed artistry of historic buildings, and the opportunity to win prizes.

The Awards Ceremony, taking place in The Carlu’s Concert Hall with guests seated at round tables of 10, will celebrate outstanding achievements in the heritage sector with the presentation of Awards in three adjudicated categories: Book, Built Heritage, and Public History. A People’s Choice Award, voted by Awards guests and Heritage Toronto Donors, will also be presented.

Important to know:

• FOOD: The event will include complimentary bar service and hors d'oeuvres . Please Note: There is no formal dinner service for the evening.
• SEATING POLICY: Guests will be seated at round tables of ten. Up to six tickets purchased together in one order will be seated together.

If you are planning on attending with a group of people and would like to be seated at the same table, please purchase your tickets in a single order. Due to the nature of the event, we are unable to accommodate requests to seat multiple orders together.

Large groups are strongly encouraged to purchase a full table.
