2025 Hawai'i Counseling & Advising Convening

Welcome to the 2025 Hawai'i Counseling & Advising (HICA) Convening!

Join us for a day of learning, networking, and professional development at the 5th annual Hawai'i Counseling & Advising (HICA) Convening held at Ala Moana Hotel, Honolulu. Connect with counselors, advisors, administrators, and community partners from across the state to exchange insights and best practices on college and career counseling, advising models, and programs designed to prepare students for success in their careers and life.

Presentations and learning discussions will focus on three topic areas:

• Implementing Effective School-Wide System Structures
• Supporting Student Transitions from HS to Postsecondary Pathways
• College & Career Alignment and Workforce Preparedness

Target Audience

The audience for this event will generally fall into 3 categories:

1. Secondary and post-secondary counselors, advisors, teachers, support coaches/staff or others involved in supporting students and programs.
2. Secondary and post-secondary leaders/administrators
3. Community organizations and workforce partners

*Priority is given to public educators and staff within HIDOE K-12 schools & University of Hawaii system.
